Jay Jeter LPC-S, BTTI Graduate
Jay Jeter is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with more than 25 years of experience. He offers a steady, supportive space where you can better understand your emotions, make sense of unhelpful patterns, and build the resilience needed to meet life’s challenges with confidence.
He specializes in the treatment of:
- Anxiety
- OCD
- Anger
- Alcoholism
- Internet addiction
- Impulse control disorders
Approaches he uses:
- Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Psychodynamic therapy
Jay works with teens and adults, in individual sessions and in groups.
He provides a calm, steady space to make sense of what’s been overwhelming you, and practical tools to help life feel more manageable. With advanced training in OCD and anxiety treatment and a background in solution-focused therapy, Jay tailors each session to support real insight, emotional steadiness, and better day-to-day functioning.
For OCD, that usually means facing the thing you have been avoiding, in small steps, without the ritual that normally follows. That is Exposure and Response Prevention, and it is the treatment with the strongest evidence behind it. Jay is a graduate of the Behavior Therapist Training Institute and is listed in the International OCD Foundation provider directory.
Please note: Jay does not accept clients with child custody issues or CPS involvement and does not complete disability applications.
